AirSlider is a simple tool for creating audio slideshow for Flash in seconds. It’s a tool created by photojournalists for photojournalists.

Inspired by the multimedia documentaries shown on Media Storm, AirSlider gives photographers the power to create and distribute their work in a simple way.

Features

  • Supports pictures, sound (a single sound file) and videos (video support is experimental)

  • Crossfade between slides and videos (with many different fade transitions)
  • Rich-text editor for captions, allowing for links: turn your soundslide into a multimedia document! (only on development version)

Import

Export

    • Macromedia® Flash™ (SWF)
    • Export keeps your files separated, in different folders (mp3 for the sound, images for pictures and videos)

What it’s not

  • airSlider is NOT a replacement for full-featured, non-linear video editing applications like Premiere™ or Final Cut™; on the other hand, its usage is far simpler for its goal
  • airSlider is NOT yet stable as other products like Soundslides; on the other hand, it’s FREE!
  • With airSlider you cannot edit your medias (like cutting audio,  cutting or encoding videos etc.)

Compatibility

airSlider is experimental software. It works on Windows.

Requirements

airSlider has been tested on

  • Windows XP, 1GB RAM, 1.66Ghz CPU, 1024×768
  • Ubuntu Linux 9.04 with 2GB Ram, 1440×900, Intel core2Duo

Since it’s built on Air™, the framework by Adobe, it can run under Mac too, but this version is still under testing andmay have several bugs. If you use a Mac, please download airSlider, test it and gie us a feedback!
